The nation will now be subjected to hundreds and possibly thousands of new television stations as part of the move to Digital Television. The public will have many new choices and an assortment of programming only restricted by their ability to find the stations due to the multitudes offered.
IGSM and its massive library of quality programs will be offered to these new stations to fill their need for non-stop programming. The assortment of hundreds of finished programs offered by IGSM gives stations a choice from how-to programming, to biographies, travel, vacation homes, self-improvement, sports and touching stories. IGSM Plans to Launch Its Own Digital Television Channels in Selected US Markets
FT. LAUDERDALE, FL--(Marketwire - June 11, 2009) - IGSM GROUP INC. (PINKSHEETS: IGSM), as part of its continued move into digital television services, today announced its intention to operate its own digital television channels in selected US markets.
"We are negotiating to obtain an Affiliate license for IGSM's first broadcast channel. We are working to find a suitable content provider that meets our needs," said H. Francis Fytton, CEO of IGSM, on the eve of the nationwide move to Digital Television.
Existing broadcast stations will have to change to digital signals commencing June 12. Many of these stations will take advantage of new technology allowing them to add additional digital channels carrying different programming.
"Using a combination of Affiliate Programming and our own proprietary library, IGSM will be able to fill a complete 24/7 schedule at lower cost than most other stations. This is because IGSM already owns programming that we use for the vacant timeslots. The Affiliate Programming is received by satellite, we then fill in the reserved spots with our programming and advertising," added Mr. Fytton.
"We can also offer existing station owners a turnkey option to add new digital content to their lineup," added Mr. Fytton. "This means that if you are the local affiliate for the same franchise, but in a different market, then IGSM has a solution for you."
An Affiliation agreement is similar to a franchise agreement but with the territories set by existing FCC boundaries or DMAs. Designated Market Areas (DMAs) are used by Nielsen Media Research to identify TV stations whose broadcast signals reach a specific area and attract the most viewers. There are currently 210 Non-overlapping DMAs covering the entire continental United States, Hawaii and parts of Alaska.

The company's direction is due to the expansion of the digital television broadcast starting and mandated on June 12, 2009 by the F.C.C.
